Transamerica (2005)

This is a terrific movie. The visuals are great and the acting is pretty good, too. The best part is the journey that a father and son make across the country from New York to LA. It's wonderful.

The film uses a lot of cliches, but it uses them in a way that's interesting and original. It plays off of stereotypes and turns them inside out.

It's funny how many people talk about "family values" as if it means a man, a woman and their kids. This movie had true family values, if the term is even a valid one. Family values as presented here are about accepting the ones you love for who they are.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
