Well I never watched the original and don't really plan to. I can't judge this based on the original which makes me feel better because I didn't want to compare it to the original, I think this did give a good try but it still didn't excite me, nothing felt different or scary throughout the movie, I love how the brutalness never held back but apart from that not much was going on.

I haven't seen the original one so I am basing this on it as a stand alone. I have actually been to Texarkana before so it's interesting to see a small real town I've actually been to and seen in film.
