It's a rare Bond movie that actually keeps my interest, even though I've been sucked into watching most of them like some cultural black hole. I finally broke my habit and didn't watch the last two. Good riddance too.

I haven't watched a Bond film in ages, particularly this one, and a rush of excitement came over me, something that hasn't really happened since I was introduced to the Bond films as a young kid. It is probably the least impressive Bond flick starring Sean Connery, in my opinion. I mean, it is rather well made and Sean Connery is awesome as usual but the story was even less capivating than the other Bond flicks. Still, it remains entertaining and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you are interested in the Bond movies.

" The Ups: Excellent action and the 007 with Connery that had the most gorgeous babes and Connery is also at his best here. The villain Largo is one of the most memorable of them all and the scenes between him and 007 is a treat to watch. Also like Tom Jones' title song. The Downs: Overlong diving sequences. Probably impressive in 1965 makes me almost go to sleep today."
