The French duo David Moreau and Xavier Palud in just 77 minutes, managed to set up a simple knit story, and is sure to satisfy even the most demanding kind. After a brief opening scene, a teaser of what followed, you know the couple and their daily lives in the secluded and majestic country house. All of them hold more than 25 minutes. While Them is more of a suspense/chase film than anything it would appear that on the whole the French still treat horror as a legitimate genre. Here this is evident in every aspect of the film, from the fantastically understated musical score, to the strikingly gorgeous, earth-tone heavy cinematography. After hearing good things about this film from my friend; I decided to borrow it from him and give it a watch before I bought it.
