A Big Collection of Movie Facts! (12 movies items)"Evelyn Ankers later recalled that during the filming of the final confrontation, she was required to faint, and then to stay on the floor until the fight scene between Lon Chaney Jr. and Claude Rains was finished. Ankers recalled that during one take, she stayed on the floor so long that the low-hanging chemical fog being used in the scene caused her to pass out. When the take was over, the film crew began rearranging the cameras and lights for the next take, not noticing that Ankers had not eme"
Werewolf shit (my little top list) (27 movies items)"Tunnelma legendoineen ja ennustuksineen on kieltämättä kunnossa ja lavasteet sumuisine metsineen ja hautausmaineen hienoja, mutta miksi tarina on kirjoitettu etenemään jännittävimmiksi tarkoitetuissa kohdissa, kuten sudeksi muuttumisessa, aivan liian nopeatempoisesti? Miksi mustalais-Bela näyttää tavalliselta sudelta, mutta Larry viikon tiettömällä tiellä viihtyneeltä lähiöpultsarilta? I consider the performance of Lon Chaney, Jr. as the doomed Larry Talbot / Wolf Man and the whole film in general to be the definitive portrayal of a werewolf. all Universal Monsters are iconic but there's just something about the Wolf Man. Is it the groundbreaking make-up for its time or the creepy atmosphere? Or is it because of the great performance by Lon Chaney, Jr. (why do think I've ranked him no. 1 here?). Just like the horror movies of it's time -” read more
Hamza's 500 Greatest Films of All Time! (156 movies items)"George Waggner To Hollywood: Please give up on the reboots and remakes. Just give up! You can't recreate the frightening atmosphere anymore. To many, classic horror starts from the 70's or from early 80's. I disagree. To me it was from early 20's to mid 50's, the true predecessor of modern horror.
