The Village is a film by a director who undoubtedly has talent, but clearly not as much talent as he thinks he has. If I ever met M. Night Shambles I would probably want to punch his lights out, I bet he is one of the most pretentious men on the planet.

The Village left a very sour taste in my mouth. It was advertised as a horror film, but the fact that it wasn't particularly scary didn't bother me as much as the ridiculously unbelievable plot. We're supposed to believe that this guy has enough money to pay an airport not to fly planes over his enclosure? Why didn't he just go to some desert island and live out his utopian fantasy in that case? The characters invoked absolutely no sympathy from me what so ever.
