Dark, Troubling Films That Will Never Leave You (28 movies items)"Intensity Rating - 8/10 Memorable/Graphic Imagery - 8/10 Propensity to Disturb - 8/10 Most Horrifying/Shocking: Either the blackly comic yet entirely unsettling dinner scene or the last girl's prolonged escape through the woods; Leatherface waving his chainsaw in the sunlight as she cackles maniacally on the back of a getaway truck is astonishing."
That was a close call! (26 movies items)"While filming the final climactic chase, Gunnar Hanson slipped and the chainsaw flew out of his hands and landed just inches from his face."
When 1 Scene is More Than Enough. (13 movies items)"The lovely family dinner with grandpa! I'm talking about the all sequence of course, but the two 'grandpa''s moments are the thing that gets me more, that's for sure. Horror Harbour's 30 Day Horror Challenge (30 movies items)"Day 3: A favorite saw or chainsaw scene I fell like Captain Obvious here, but the final scene from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is absolutely epic."
Favorite Horror: The 70's (10 movies items)" I'm not as big a fan as some others, but TTCM is a legendary film. It's deserving of it's reputation as well."

Another thing that also bothered me was the ending which is a total mess, in my opinion. So, I think it is a little bit old now and not really frightening anymore. Still, you have to keep in my mind that it is almost 40 years old now and it has been hugely influential on all the slashers that came afterwards and I still really enjoyed it though. To conclude, it remains a classic, a solid horror movie, it is a definitive milestone for this genre and it is definitely worth a loo” read more
