Robert Downey Jr. - Dan Dark
I don't know if he's really a good character. He's his own worst enemy. Half the time its hard to care if he recovers, but in his mind, he's a hero and it's cool to watch.
When he was in the hospital with his condition, he was paranoid, mean spirited and scathing, thoroughly unpleasant, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
In his his fantasy, he is the singing detective. Confident, debonaire, gun wielding, arm twisting and prone to break out into lip syncing 50's pop"

Downey is ferociously good, filled with rage and scorching the paint off the walls, and it's disturbing.

Ugh they should've left the musical part out. But anyway it was really good and one of a kind. Downey Jr was so awesome and Jon Polito and Adrien Brody did really nice work too.

And the first film of the year turns out to be rather weak. Robert Downey Jr. gives a fine performance in a film adaption of a TV-show. I don't know anything about the show, but after witnessing this film, I've no interest in looking it up. While the concept might be clever, it's just a disjointed mess and I'm no fan of lip-syncing.
