A childhood trauma has left pianist Francesca Cunningham deeply disturbed and suicidal. Many hazy thoughts cloud her mind -- memories of abuse, memories of submission to her seemingly overbearing mentor, Nicholas. But she cannot tell the true from the false, or know the meaning behind these mental images. Now a psychotherapist is determined to help Francesca understand what has caused her such unhappiness -- to remove the "seventh veil" that hides the truth.
A concert pianist finds her emotions torn between three men. After attempting suicide, she seeks the help of a gifted psychoanalyst (who happens to be one of the three above mentioned men). Academy Award Nominations: Best Original Screenplay.
