"You are lying! I never hit you! You are tearing me apart, Lisa!"
There are countless bad movies out there. Most of them end up fading into obscurity on account of their downright awful nature rendering them unbearable. Yet, every now and then a terrible movie is released that becomes a classic solely because of its staggering ineptitude. 2003's The Room is a textbook example of suc... read more
"Gone with the Wind", "Lawrence of Arabia", "The Lord of the Rings Trilogy", and "Dr. Zhivago." What do all of these things have in common? They're all films with a magnificently epic scope, however none of them can really come anywhere close to the granduer ofTommy Wiseau's seminal master, "The Room."
"Mike: Did you, uh, know... that chocolate... is the symbol of love?
Johnny: Hi.
Flower Shop Clerk: Can I help you?
Johnny: Yeah, can I have a dozen red roses, please?
Flower Shop Clerk: Oh, hi, Johnny. I didn't know it was you.
Flower Shop Clerk: Here you go.
Johnny: That's me. How much is it?
Flower Shop Clerk: It'll be 18 dollars.
Johnny: Here you go. Keep the change.
Johnny: Hi, doggie.
Flower Shop Clerk: You're my favorite customer.
Johnny: Thanks a lot. Bye!
Flower Shop Clerk: "

"This movie is actually very impressive. There are many so-bad-it's-funny movies. Plan 9 From Outer Space and Twilight are other examples. But The Room is the only movie of it's kind that is never boring to watch. Plan 9 and Twilight become very boring after a while but The Room makes me laugh the whole running time because it is that awful."

Johnny - jota esittää käsikirjoittaja, tuottaja ja ohjaaja Tommy Wiseau - on ruma ja kiusallinen kuin kuppanen kulli, eikä osaa ottaa mitään tilannetta vakavasti. Rumuus ja kiusallisuus kulkevat käsi kädessä koko elokuvan. Kärsimys on personifisoitu. Kärsimys on saanut kasvot. Tommy Wiseau on luonut elokuvamonsterin."
"As someone who's watched more bad movies than you can imagine, I'm mostly immune to the so-bad-it's-good aesthetic, though I can see how, viewed in a theater at midnight after a few drinks, this might conjure up its own hilariously demented reality.

Given audience reaction at screening attended, pic may be something of a first: A movie that prompts most of its viewers to ask for their money back -- before even 30 minutes have passed.

"Johnny- "Pretty in Pink"
&
Paula Abdul- "American Idol"
Why?: Two people who are often misunderstood and talk as if they're on horse tranquilizers, that's why.
Second Date?: With Johnny shooting himself and Simon Cowell killing Paula, God only knows."

Along with Vampire's Kiss, it is one of the most quotable and hilarious films ever made. Except here the hilarity arises from the complete lack of competence by everyone responsible: the actors, the director/screenwriter/producer/genius Wiseau himself, the editor(s) and everyone really.
Supposedly it was meant to be a Shakespearean tragedy and melodrama. But as it's constructed without any sense of drama, it becomes "

"This movie is a miracle! I’ve never seen a performance so consistently bad or writing so hypnotisingly lame. But to be honest, I know you’re gonna think I’m a little crazy, it’s really worth checking out. It truly is one of those movies you need to see to believe. Nobody could make a movie this interestingly bad. It had to be the warped mindset of some weirdo whose international origins remain a mystery. So, if you’re really up for some absolutely horrible, yet surprisingly entertainin"
