“I found this movie to be hauntingly beautiful, it is a harsh tale of survival. You don't know what happened all you know is that mankind is dying, the earth is dying and Viggo Mortensen who plays the man is trying to get his son to a safe haven which he thinks is south. Every step they take is about fighting to survive, they have to scavenge for food escape cannibals. The Man also has to teach the boy how to survive on his own, this is a really chilling yet beautiful tale of survival in a world where all you have is the fire as the man says or hope of something better. I loved Viggo Mortensen, he was fantastic as usual but for me young Kodi Smit-McPhee stole the show. For a young actor to give such a performances was wonderfull, he is a young actor to look out for.
