IMHO, a terrific adaptation of Somerset Maugham's book compared to the more recent Bill Murray edition. Tyrone Power does a wonderful job of playing the existentially-wondering Larry Darrell, whose idea of the value of life has changed since coming back from the war in Europe (WW I).
