Um filme correto. Nisso se pode resumir "A Rainha", filme de Stephen Frears, também diretor do cult "Alta Fidelidade". O longa mostra a semana depois da morte da princesa Diana. Mostra como foi o comportamento político e social diante do trágico acontecimento. O filme é correto pois a técnica é eficaz. A fotografia do filme é correta, as atuações do filme são corretas, a trilha sonora do filme é correta, o figurino também é correto. Contudo, a impecável estética esconde uma história mal desenrolada, sem grandes cenas que não empolgam, não emocionam, não intrigam, nem prendem nossa atenção. While my family and I thought the movie a useless piece of promotion (to say the least), Nataliegoestojapan's review is straight to the point.

The cast was excellent. Needless to say, Mirren is a brilliant actress and her interpretation of Queen Elizabeth is perfect (4 stars for her acting).

The movie still remains one of bad taste - in my opinion.

I was pleasantly surprised by this film. I thought this was going to be an outright blasting of Queen Elizabeth in the aftermath of Diana's death. And I didn't find that to be the case. If you went in thinking she was an ogre it probably wouldn't change your mind. Of course it wasn't particularly flattering to her as well. But for fair minded people it gave them a lot to think about. And it reminded you how hard death is to deal with, regardless of the circumstances. And it may be even harder to deal with when you didn't like the person. Very thought provoking.

Fascinerend om een keer zo'n kijkje achter de schermen te krijgen. Indrukwekkend ook om deze periode zo nog een keer te her beleven.
