This movie is Horrible, terrible, boring, and NOT FUNNY.

"Horrible" as in the horror I felt after wasting those two hours watching this piece of drivel.

"Terrible" as in the feeling I got of wanting to tear the DVD in half. (Fortunately for the DVD it had come from the library or I would have cruel and unusual punishment upon it)

Since I kept hearing good things about those flicks, I was really eager to check them out. Above all, after watching the dismal version starring Steve Martin, I was really wondering if it was any good. Eventually, I wasn't disappointed. As far as i know, this movie is supposed to be a comedy, but i don't think there are many funny scenes here. The only one i found funny was the chasing scene after the party, with the zebra always left behind. In my opinion, if you expect a comedy, you'll probably get disappointed. But if you don't put a label on it, you might actually enjoy the movie. In the first half, there is not much going on... read more

"3/3/13 Rewatch I caught this on TCM today. I hadn't seen it in awhile but it's every bit as enjoyable as ever. Clouseau isn't the centerpiece here, as it's more of an ensemble comedy, but he definitely made his mark because he went on to star in the rest. Cardinale, Niven, Sellers, Wagner and Capucine are a thrill to watch! This film will never get old for me!"
