I expected a lot more from this film. It started off very well; the scenes when the timid bumbling Indian actor (played by the awesome Peter Sellers) makes blunder after blunder to accidentally ruin a movie production was hilarious. And when he gets invited by mistake to a fancy party by the producer of the film, the scenes where he approaches different gets, gets into trouble almost every step ... read more

An Indian actor screws up royally during the filming of a costume epic. When the 'Fire this guy' list gets confused with the studio head's guest list for a party, he appears there and everyone assumes he must belong. A great many sight gags and misunderstanding gags are played out at the party where the rest of the film takes place.

Moviewatcher122's 2016 Film Diary: May (28 movies items)

"May 2 "Who do you think you are?" "In India, we don't think who we are. We know who we are." This was a pretty funny movie. Peter Sellers was really funny as the leading role and it's another movie that shows off his acting talent very well. It is kind of dated, but it's really more dated in the sense that this is really the kind of movie that could've only been made back then and if they ever tried to remake this (God forbid.) they would have to make a lot of changes to it. That's really wh"
