It must be one of the most disapointing movies I have ever seen. I mean, it is not that the movie was really bad or anything but I thought it would be way better than this. The whole concept of a baseball movie starring Robert Redford sounded pretty cool but the end-result was not really impressive. When I saw this as a kid, I thought that it was jolly good fun, and quite quotable too. ("A common canard.")

But now, it comes off as narcissistic and paranoid.... even the sports-writer is too cosmopolitan. Then again, he's Tom Hagen. Then again, "The Natural" thinks that he's better than everyone.

Sitten häntä ammutaan ja parannuttuaan hän osaa lyödä palloa kovaa ihmemailallaan, jonka hän on vuollut puusta johon on aikoinaan iskenyt salama ja mitä paskaa? Kyseessä on erittäin tylsä filmi, jonka kohokohta on kun Michael Madsen kuolee juostessaan täysiä päin seinää.
