I at least appreciated some of the action sequences in The Matrix Reloaded. This film didn't really contain anything for me though. I was disappointed with who was killed off and how some of the questions were answered. I think most of the ponderings I had regarding the matrix were left unanswered anyway, this film then managed to make me question even more things.

The Matrix was a fantastic stand alone film, why they had to release these two films is unknown to me. They tried to make some intellectual masterpiece and failed miserably. I'm sure some other people will think otherwise, but I just can't appreciate the sequels in the same was as the original.

Sure, there was a lot of unaswered questions at the end of the first Matrix, but thats ok. that's what makes an awesome film. it leaves your IMAGINATION to fill in and try to finish the story, or you can just leave it be as a 'hope for future' now that Neo found his power. But to make two more films that try to explain what happens afterwards just make it all into a mess. Reloaded and Revolutions just distract the audience with absolutely useless new characters, ridiculous fighting sequences, idiotic one-liners like "Neo, I Believe!", and introduce two new plot holes everytime they try to explain a plot hole from the first Matrix. To all the Matrix sequel fans, imagine these movies WTIHOUT the first one. By themselves, they would be in ...Read more
