Siitä erikoinen Hitchcock, että tällä ei ole mitään tekemistä murhien tai sen suuntaisen rikoksen kanssa, vaan genrenä on selkeästi draama pienellä trillerimäisyydellä. Jotain hyviä ratkaisuja on saatu mukaan ja kameratyö on tyylikästä (mieleen jäi varsinkin erittäin kaunis kohtaus, jossa Phil ja Kate tapaavat merenrannalla), mutta ei tästä löydy varsinaisesti mitään niin kiinnostavaa, että jaksaisi pituutensa (joka on onneksi vain vajaat puolitoista tuntia"
