"Watched on the 25th My dad actually suggested this to me a few months ago and so I finally got round to watching it. One of the few westerns I've actually seen with John Wayne in (although I have quite a few in my 'to watch' list). It was entertaining throughout and even had an alright twist ending, although I have to admit I guessed it before it was revealed. Angel Eyes(Lee Van Cleef) has a small role too! "First viewing - Feb. 2nd/3rd I can now say I've seen not only one of John Wayne's movies, but one of John Ford's as well. And it was pretty good...solidly entertaining, good story, decent acting. I liked it a lot but never quite loved it. If anything it's started my interest in Lee Marvin who is pretty badass here. The political side of it doesn't interest me all that much and it takes up almost half of the film.
