"'The Man in the White Suit' is a great little satire from Ealing studios, starring Alec Guiness as a young research chemist who is attempting to create an everlasting fabric. When he unexpectedly succeeds, he quickly falls foul of trade unionists and managers alike who will stop at nothing to suppress his invention. The humour here is broader than in some of the stronger Ealing comedies and Guiness, though predictably great, has less to work with in his characterization. Nevertheless, 'The Man "

"Mainio leffa, vaikka ei mielestäni mikään suuri klassikko. Ealing-studioiden leffat ovat näppärästi tehtyjä, mutta komedioiksi liian hillittyjä.
