"Katsottu: 30.9.2011 Oikein miehekäs länkkäri, jossa on kolme Carradine. Idea on Hilliltä varsin erikoinen, mutta onnistunut. Pistää useampi tosielämän veljes esittämään elokuvassa veljeksiä. Toimii pirun hyvin, koska nyt hahmot jotenkin läheisempiä ja hiessä on tietysti samaa näköä. En oikeastaan keksi mitään kovin suuria heikkouksia, vaikka elokuva tarinan kerronnassa ehkä vähän hiomista olisikin ollut. Poukkoileva tarina ei aivan pidä otteessaan koko kestoa."

Until this point the only thing I knew about Jesse James was gleaned from 'The Assassination Of....' and as such it was kind of jarring to see the James and Younger gang in their prime and in a traditional sort of western. Lots of great performances in this and some fantastic direction by Walter Hill makes the film move along even if there doesn't actually feel like there's a lot of meat to the story. "
