Honestly, I wasn't expecting something amazing from this but, at least, I thought it could be an entertaining action flick especially with such stars like Richard Gere and Bruce Willis. Unfortunately, it barely managed to be an average action feature. The worst thing is that, since then, I have seen 'The Day of the Jackal', the movie which has inspired it, it was completely brilliant and it makes ... read more

A better-than-average thriller with a cast of fine actors. It has some weak parts but overall a decent watch. It's always nice to see Sidney Poitier regardless."

Tahtomatta suoritettu rewatch jo pari kertaa nähdystä remake-trilleristä. Venäläinen mafioso haluaa kostaa Yhdysvalloille ja on valinnut vallan huipulta otollisen kohteen. Asialle laitetaan Shakaali (Bruce Willis), maailman vaarallisimpiin kuuluva palkkatappaja, jonka voi jäljittää vain entinen IRA:n mies (Richard Gere). Apunaan Gerellä on Sidney Poitierin esittämä SYVÄSTI HUOLESTUNUT agentti. Mitään tarvetta nähdä tätä uudestaan minulla ei oikeasta"

"I wonder if we'll ever know who the hell he was."
"We know all we need to. He was evil, he is dead. And he's gone. Nothing more matters"
Bruce Willis was pretty good as the villain for once, but Richard Gere was awful. His Irish accent is one of the worst i have ever heard. He killed the film for me.
