The Heartbreak Kid (2007)

The Heartbreak Kid i really did find boring the jokes weren't funny and the story was just plain bad. The trailer was great but i just bought it on DVD for £10 if you ask me i just wasted £10. The humor is pretty much the same as Ben Stiller's other movies so nothing different. This movie should of and could of been a whole lot better shame.

Put aside a lot of the negative ratings, and don't compare this to that other Farrelly/Stiller hit 'There's Something About Mary', and what you're left with is a solid, perverted, and funny comedy. Ben Stiller still manages to crack me up just by his expressions, and Rob Corddry is hilarious in this. The part that was 'off' in this movie, which may explain the negative ratings, is some people probably mistook this as a romantic comedy, but the Farrelly brothers kept making it spin more eccentric and perverted thru its runtime, so what you have here is a weird sort of hybrid between a raunchy comedy about a guy trying to get together with another woman while on his honeymoon, and a romantic comedy about a quick marriage. I don't understand all of the bad ratings and reviews of this film. I mean, it wasn't great, or excellent, but Ben Stiller was very funny. The plot did have a lot of crude dialog, but once you get past that, it is just a really entertaining film.
