First time I watched it, I thought it was really terrible, in fact, one of the worst movies I have seen but then I watched it again and I thought it was actually watchable after all. Of course, the story was preposterous but the special effects were actually pretty good. The movie is about a study in fear. I was reading Leonard Maltin's review, and he seems to state there were "virtually no scares" in the movie. I was really scared.
