The 1981 film by Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) about the real events that could go on behind the scenes of your local seansonal Funhouse. Rebellious teen Amy defies her parents by going to a trashy carnival that has pulled into town. In tow are her boyfriend, Buzz, and their friends Liz and Richie. Thinking it would be fun to spend the night in the campy "Funhouse" horror ride, the teens witness a murder by a deformed worker wearing a mask. Locked in, Amy and her friends must evade the murderous carnival workers and escape before it leaves town the next day.

31 Days of Horror (Halloween 2015) (45 movies items)

"October 15: I've always thought circuses and carnivals are excellent backdrops for horror movies, because they already contain bizarre characters and settings. That's another environment I can add to my favorite horror settings. This movie was interesting to watch (I'd never seen it before). It's definitely dated, so some parts of it were fairly cheesy by today's standards. FAVORITE SCENE: The homage to Psycho and Halloween in the very beginning. On an unrelated note, I loved Amy's blue blouse."

Moviewatcher122's 2016 Film Diary: March (43 movies items)

"March 10 "Amy'll hit it off for sure. Buzz is a terrific guy." "She's stoned. When you're stoned, Charles Manson is a terrific guy." While it's not as fun as the title would suggest, but despite that it's still a fun slasher movie. It had a decent premise that was executed well enough, had some interesting ideas and it did have some funny dialogue at times. Even though it could've been better and it doesn't really get going until the hour mark, I still liked it for what it is and I might wa"
