Description

Underrated Harrison Ford masterpiece!

Directed by: Andrew Davis Starring: Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones, Sela Ward, Julianne Moore, Joe Pantoliano Genre: Action/Crime/Drama/Thriller Running time: 130 minutes My review: Dr. Richard Kimble, unjustly accused of killing his wife, must find the real one-armed killer while avoiding Marshal Sam Gerard. The Fugitive is in my personal opinion one of the most fun action packed thrillers that have ever been made. This film has almost everything that a thriller should have. There are the tense action sequences with extremely tense music. But there isnt just tense music in the action scenes but through every scene in the film really. I can't believe how old this film is, I must have watched it a hundred times back in the day. Harrison Ford plays Richard Kimble, a man wrongly accused of murdering his wife, who manages to escape an inmate transport bus. This prompts a huge manhunt for Kimble, led by the tenacious Tommy Lee Jones who will stop at nothing to get his man.

Harrison Ford makes this movie, it would be nothing without him (as the much inferior U.S Marshals proves). It's a pretty different role for Ford who is usually seen as the suave or reluctant hero in his other films. This time he is not always in control. Along the way, Kimble further investigates his wife's murder case and manages to unearth her real attacker. Gripping stuff!
