Jessica Alba did his job greatly. The story wasnt original but it didnt bore. Inludes so many touchable scenes. And the end was fascinating, and its good no love scene.
It's basically the same as the original but is a thousand times more exaggerated. The original is more natural to make you believe more in the story, since the remake makes it all far-fetched, unrealistic. It's decent, but only for a change, the original is better. Hopefully we've got the beautiful Jessica Alba collaborating with the look of the film. The story is interesting and plausible, has so... read more
I still need to see the original... should have before checking out this film. It felt very been there, done that... and Jessica Alba didn't bring anything to the table. A big disappointment in my book and overall an extremely forgettable film. 4/10
"Because another movie is in another language, the Amercians feel the need to take it and remake it, The eye is the classic example of how they remake classic horror stories into crap. The acting the story everything in this remake they turned to crap, a lot of people are into Chinese Koren and Japanese horror, and like it just the way it is."
“I wasn't expecting much from this flick but I always enjoy a horror flick from time to time so why not this one? Following the foot steps of Naomi Watts and Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jessica Alba hoped to find some success with this remake of an Asian horror flick but, unfortunately for her, the end-result was rather disappointing. To start with, I haven't seen the original version but there is a good chance it was better than this remake. Personally, I was more interested by the whole psycholigical aspect than the horror setting which reminded me of an half-baked version of 'Final Destination' (of which I wasn't a big fan in the first place). Concerning Jessica Alba, as usual, she looked pretty good but I still have a hard time to take her seriously as an actress. At least, you could see tha” read more

So it wasnt flawless but it suffiently creeped me out, so I was satisfied
My biggest complaint about this movie is the title. "Eye" is singylar, and it really should be plural as the film is about both of her eyes. They should have named it "Eyes" or "The Eyes" or "Her Eyes"
Anyways, that's my rant."

Being a Jessica Alba-led American remake of an Asian horror movie, The Eye is better than it has any right being. Some of the credit has to go to French directors David Moreau and Xavier Palud (Them), while some goes to the strong source material, to which Moreau and Palud stick closely. The rest of the credit goes to Jessica Alba's tank top."

Directed by: David Moreau & Xavier Palud ('Ils')
With: Jessica Alba, Alessandro Nivola, Parker Posey, Rade Serbedzija, Chloë Grace Moretz
Was the original - Gin gwai (2002) - worth a look?
After watching 2 of their American procuctions, 'Bangkok Dangerous' and 'The Messengers', I can't say I'm convinced by the Pang brothers. Still, it seems to be a solid Asian horror flick.
Was this remake worth a look?
Following the foot steps of Naomi Watts and Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jessica Alba hope"
