In 1972 the officers of Warner Bros decided to turn to film his book William Peter Blatty "Ôhe Exorcist". Ystera the refusal of Stanley Kubrick and John Boorman, the director takes a young man who finally started to become known after the successful (artistic and commercial) of Ôhe French Connection. O William Friedkin thus having the full support of the same author (who has adapted the script) ... read more

First of all, movies don't scare me all that easily. A few did when I was a kid, but not anymore now as an adult. Therefore I rarely watch "scary" movies with the idea that I'm going to get frightened in any way. These days, I just judge 'em based more on the quality of entertainment that I get from the story, art direction, acting, blah blah blah....
That said,
boy, when I think of... read more

The Exorcist was a major hit not just within the horror genre but also cinema itself because there has never been any terror within a film that is so believable and realistic. It is a landmark of horror/thriller films alongside others such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, Steven Spielberg's Jaws and Jonathan Demme's The Silence Of The Lambs. It does have some science fiction parts about it but it isn... read more

My love Story for horror films (36 movies items)

"Everyone told me about this one, even when i was little, they told me "wait until The Exorcist, youll see" And i wait and wait until they let me see it, that was around 17, and i finally saw it, the great evil....and it didnt scared me as i thought, i saw it like a huge gem of horror, and an excellent movie, but it wasnt so scary, not for me, the one who came back from that dimension where The Ring had sent him. JAJAJAJA"
