The Day After Tomorrow is a fun movie to watch only because of the special effects. Kind of cool to see how they portrayed what LA and New York would look like after the major weather portrayed.
However, I'm going to have to disagree with the previous reviewers and say that Dennis Quaid is one of the worst actors I've ever seen! I literally was laughing at him and his eye rolling each time he was on camera.
The story was crap as well.
enough said.

"Nowadays" between New York and Los Angeles. A climatologist (Dennis Quaid) needs to find a way to save "the world" from global warming. His son (Jake Gyllenhaal) is hiding with a group of friends in the New York Public Library and is experiencing first-hand the major weather changes. Special effects were all wonderful. I was only disappointed in the wolves: they did not look real at all. Keep in mind when watching this movie that it requires a *lot* of suspension of disbelief. Most of what happens is beyond belief and rather predictable. That said, it is still enjoyable entertainment, and Dennis Quaid proves that he is an excellent actor. Yes, I realize that distances the characters cross are crazy, but I don't care. Yes, I realize that this would never happen, but I don't care. I was highly entertained by this movie. I loved the awesome special effects. I think Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal are wonderful actors. This was a good movie.
