An average movie

“I'm not sure what to say about this movie. Indeed, I heard only terrible things about it so I really had the lowest expectations before watching it. But I thought I could give it a try with my step-son who was much younger back then. Eventually, I didn't think it was that bad actually. First of all, I have to say I'm not really familiar with Dr Seuss books. I mean, I have seen the movies but I know nothing about the books so everytime I watched one of those flicks I don't have any preconceived ideas about what they should do or not. So, I thought the movie looked good and there was a pretty good cast (Mike Myers, Alec Baldwin, Kelly Preston, Dakota Fanning, Spencer Breslin) so I can't say it was the worst movie I have ever seen. Of course, the fact that I don't think it was that bad doesn'” read more

Movie Diary June 2012 (53 movies items)

"Thursday, June 15th Sitting down to this movie I was very much aware that it has been given an extremely low rating, but I like to stay optimistic. So here's my breakdown: First 15 minutes - Good! Actually, very good. Bright colors, corny enough to provoke a few laughs, commical characters. I'm thinking to myself, "Why such the low rating? This is cute!" By the 30 minute mark- I can kind of see why people would find this annoying, but I'm still keeping an open. The rest of the film- I shou"

You know......for kids! (136 movies items)

"The whole film, not to the mention the Cat In The Hat, has nightmare fuel, written all over it. I still say that the talking fish, made for a better babysitter. Even though, he's a talking fish."

Worst Films I've Seen (15 movies items)

"I hate this movie more than cancer. It's horrible on so many levels: vulgur, stupid, mean-spirited, and has no redeeming values whatsoever. Not even the creative opening and the high production values could save it. I'd rather watch Batman & Robin again than sit through any minute of that pile of disgusting hairball. At least for that film, you'd be laughing at the stupidity rather being appalled by it, especially at Arnold's ice puns."
