Before watching this flick, I thought it was a live-action of this cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid called ‘Les Minipouss’ but, in fact, this TV-show was adapted on a completely different book called ‘The Littles’ with a very similar plot which was written later. Anyway, to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this flick but I still ended up watching the damned thing. Eventual... read more

The Borrowers salutes the interconnectedness of worlds, in this case large and small ones. It also shows that courtesy not only keeps civilization humming but benefits all who practice it.

Moviewatcher122's 2016 Film Diary: September (22 movies items)

"September 23 "A Borrower is quiet, conscientious, and inconspicuous. We don't steal; we borrow." This was a pretty average family movie. It did have a creative concept and the cast does a good job with the material they are given, but it is also very predictable and also pretty by the numbers despite the creative scenario. I'll give this one a pass. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's pretty harmless stuff and when it comes to family films, you could do a lot worse than this."
