When the capsule of the Scoop Mission returns to Earth and lands in the small town of Piedmont, it brings a mutant living being and all the population, except a crying baby and an old man with ulcer, dies with clotted blood. A team of five scientists - the leader Dr. Jeremy Stone, Dr. Charles Dutton, Dr. Mark Hall, Dr. Ruth Leavitt and Dr. Kirkie - are summoned and gathered together in the top secret Wildfire facility. Fighting against time, they try to understand the reason why the old man and the baby survived and research an antidote to Andromeda, the ultimate biological weapon.

Movie Reviews (1151-1200) (50 movies items)

" Believable science fiction that tells us that we should not fear alien beings but alien microbes that can wipe out our existence in seconds. A rich detailed movie and by using non-actors I feel the film has a documentary feel. The man vs. laser scene is a memorable moment. "

Bioweapons (9 movies items)

" Although the microbial threat in this science fiction film is a natural one returning to earth with a satellite, the scientific response team comes across germ warfare simulations, strongly indicating that the responsible US government projects were designed to actively search for harmful bio-agents for use in BW."
