Keskimääräistä parempaa vanhan liiton scifiä. Johtuen ehkä siitä, että oikeastaan koko elokuvan idea perustuu siihen, että lauma (hulluja) tiedemiehiä laitetaan bunkkeriin leikkimään kalleilla leluilla ja tekemään epäinhimillisiä eläinkokeita avaruudesta tulleella tappajapöpöllä.
Erikoistehosteet ovat aikalaisekseen aivan omaa luokkaansa, vaikka toki nykypäivänä paikoin vanhentuneet, joskin arvokkaasti. Musiikit yhdistettynä sairaalan kliinisiin lavasterat"

I've been curious about this film for quite some time and I know that many rate it fairly high. I like the base premise (which has been used in many movies), the whole race against time theme. I do think it's decent but it's too slow in too many places and overlong; my interest kept drifting. I probably won't even give the remake a view at all."
