That actually wasn't a bad movie. From all the adverts I put off watching it because it looked like another boring old American comedy (lets face it, they're running out of decent scenarios). It was actually funny (most of the time, but not all), and one of the main reasons I liked it was the ending. It made me laugh at the unexpectedness of it, and it was a perfect way to close. It avoided a rubb... read more
By far, my fave of the Apatow comedies. Like Knocked Up, his best films seem to be the ones in which he does triple duty as director, writer, & producer.
In this case, this triple-combo results in a movie whose strength lies not just with the high level of comedy (which probably would've been enough), but also for the fact that at it's heart, this is a story of a "late bloomer" that is han... read more
Description:40-year-old Andy Stitzer has done quite a few things in his life. He's got a cushy job stamping invoices at an electronics superstore, a nice apartment with a proud collection of action figures and comic books, good friends, a nice attitude. But there's just one little thing he hasn't quite gotten around to doing yet--something most people have done by his age. Done a lot. Andy's never, ever, ever had sex--not even by accident. So is that such a big deal? Well, for Andy's buds at the store, it sure is. Although they think he's a bit of an oddball, there's certainly a planet full of stranger (and homelier) guys who've at least had one go at having a go. They consider it their duty to help Andy out of his dire situation and go to great lengths to help him. But nothing proves effective enough to lure their friend out of lifelong chastity until he meets Trish (Catherine Keener), a 40-year-old mother of three. Andy's friends are psyched by the possibility that "it" may finally happen...until they hear that Andy and Trish have begun their relationship based on a mutual no-sex policy.... (more)(less)

This is the film that started it all. While I have films listed before it, this is the first movie that I recorded viewing. Every year, I watch this on April 26th, or tomorrow, to celebrate the anniversary.
This was the first time that I watched this since it was in theaters. I saw it when I was 11, but I didn't really get into it (like the film's protaganist). I enjoyed it this time, and have ever since."
"You know that if songs didn't cost money, the out-tro would have been "Hey Jude". (*)
Jason Segel (Finance): Do you have any idea how much money that would cost.
Steve Carell (Acting): *sighs* Well we have to do something.
"As for money.... we have no money."
And yet, somehow, this movie had the best cast of all time. They even had ROGEN.
And a model.

"Eh.... what language"
