“I think Gwyneth Paltrow is a rather underrated actress. Here, she works with another very good actor, Daniel Craig (before his James Bond fame) and they both deliver some awesome perfomances. Futhermore, I thought the material was rather fascinating but, unfortunately, it didn't translate well on the big white screen. It is always quite tricky to deal with poetry but it is not a impossible task (see 'Dead man' for example). In this movie, they made some choices and, as a result, there is barely no poetry in this movie and at the end of the movie, you wonder what Sylvia Plath's work must sound like. It is a shame but the relationship between Plath and her husband is quite fascinating thank to the lead actors.
