Worst movie posters ever (41 movies items)

" Comment : Big picture of Keanu Reeves shooting a gun, looking mean? Can’t go wrong with that. Then there are highlighted cut-out profiles of the other big names in the film below, also good, and wait, what? Where’s Keanu’s right index finger? It looks like it’s disappeared. It’s definitely not on the trigger, at any rate, so how the hell is that gun firing? "

Worst of 2008 (23 movies items)

"Speaking strictly from a technical perspective, Street Kings is a proficient effort, but it's also stale. Half the problem with the flick is that this stuff has been done before (usually done better), and is incapable of bringing anything new to the genre. The other half of the problem is the stilted dialogue, the questionable casting choices, a lot of contrived character action and an appalling ending. Full review here"

Proficient effort, but stale

“"Doesn't it bother you that there are two cop killers out there?"

2008's Street Kings is basically Training Day mixed with the television series The Shield, and it's yet another in the never-ending string of films concerning corrupt police officers. In the past, a number of filmmakers have attempted this type of material, resulting in movies ranging from underrated gems like Cop Land to Oscar-recognised films such as The Departed and L.A. Confidential. Speaking strictly from a technical perspective, Street Kings is a proficient effort, but it's also stale. Half the problem with the flick is that this stuff has been done before (usually done better), and is incapable of bringing anything new to the genre. The other half of the problem is the stilted dialogue, the questionable cast” read more

Could have been better, but still good.

“"Street Kings" is a highly entertaining film. Keanu Reeves was not great, but he did perform well. The rest of the cast was really good. The best performances was by Forest Whitaker and Hugh Laurie. They were both excellent. The rest of the supporting cast was good, but very out of place. There were just too many big stars mixed in at random scenes of the film. It kind of seemed like the film could easily have had several less characters. Other than that, the cast was great.

The story was about a cop named Tom Ludlow (Reeves) who is going through a rough patch in his life after his wife died. He drinks a lot, and often gets angry. He is an ordinary police officer until he is framed for murdering two other deputies. From there on out the film is chaotic and extremely pulse poundin” read more

watch your back

“This was an interesting movie made by the Training Day people. Like Training Day this movie has a lot of twists and turns along the way. I Thought Keanu did a great job in the lead. This movie had a great cast of supporting actors all with a lot of testostrone.

This movie is one for action junkies. The bullets fly and the blood flows in this one. The thing I liked about this one is that it also has a pretty good story attached to it. Street Kings is more of an adult movie and not one for the family.

I'd like to know how Forrest Whitaker was able to use the wall of his home in the way that he did without a trace of anything fishy going on. This will make sense if you watch the movie. If you are in need of an action fix, try this one out.
