“Without a doubt the greatest Star Trek

“Without a doubt the greatest Star Trek movie ever made.”
If paramount had followed the example set by this movie they would still be making Star Trek movies today. The special effects are amazing and the story keeps you on the edge of your seat. I can't recommend it enough.

First Contact was a lot of fun, with a few tense situations and most of TNG crew on board. I felt character developement was a bit lacking with the crew, but they were probably assuming it would be fans of the series watching. James Cromwell's character was interesting, and having a loose cannon in the movie made up for the thin character developement on the others. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

An average movie

For several reasons, I was really eager to check this Star Trek flick. First of all, it was the first feature completely focusing on the next generation crew. Second, since we are now in the 90's, I was expecting some badass special effects. Finally, it is considered as many as the best Star Trek movie ever made. Eventually, even though I did enjoy it, I wasn't completely blown away. Visually, it ... read more

Eventually, even though I did enjoy it, I wasn't completely blown away. Visually, it was definitely the best Star Trek movie so far, I especially enjoyed the introduction and the look of the Borgs. Furthermore, Patrick Stewart is really a fine actor, he gave a fine performance and the rest of the crew was pretty good (even though Data tends to get on my nerves rather often). Unfortunately, I thought the story was rather confusing. I mean, it was a good story but sometimes, I could” read more

"Why's it so good? Unquestionably the best big-screen outing for the Next Generation cast, this pits Picard and crew against wonderfully hissable bad guys the Borg. Picard, traumatised from an old encounter with them (in series 2 double-parter finale Best of Both Worlds, fact fans), gets closure by kicking stellar amounts of ass, while Data gets to explore his human side more deeply than ever before."
