The Good & The Bad - Movies Watched In 2017 (197 movies items)

"Even though I have no regrets watching this movie, I found it - to put it bluntly well, 'meh.' That being said, I don't mean to discredit James McAvoy for his role as Kevin and the few other personalities. It is absolutely worth mentioning that he delivered each character very well. Unfortunately, McAvoy's outstanding deliverance is probably the best thing, this movie has to offer. The movie misses at many points, that it left me wondering what it actually wanted from us. Overall it's an average"

Movies the giraffe watched in 2017: January (30 movies items)

"First viewing - Jan. 21st I hadn't seen a Shyamalan film in the theatre since The Happening, and by most accounts that's been a wise move on my part. I did hear some good things about The Visit though, and after seeing Split I'm encouraged to give it a fair chance just to see if I'd like it. Split benefits mostly from the performances of James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy, but also from Shyamalan's approach to the whole composition of the film. There are some truly intense moments, and very few "

"Perhaps his best since Unbreakable (my favorite M. Night Movie). This movie gave me laughs, chills, and kept me at the edge of my seat for the entire movie. I honestly cannot wait to see what M. Night brings in the future. I think that he's finally headed in the right Direction. James McAvoy in probably his best and most challenging role to date."

M. Night Shyamalan Films - Ranked and Why (11 movies items)

" With Split, Shyamalan has made his best film since The Sixth Sense and is a very much welcome return to form after some of his weaker films. With a stellar performance from James McAvoy, Shyamalan has created a film that is as fascinating as it is tense. It's a film that kept on surprising me and one that continuously kept me on the edge of my seat. It's a well-put together film that blends the very best of Shyamalan into a film, that's certainly not for everyone, but one that really entertaine"

2017 Films Ranked (39 movies items)

"The film occasionally gets a bit ridiculous, but Shyamalan's haunting atmosphere, and James McAvoy's magnetic performance(s), keep the film surprisingly grounded, resulting in a frightening, intelligent, and most shocking of all, even subtle horror film. 8.1/10"
