With Kim Ki-Duk, I keep trying and trying... It is already the 4th movie of his that I watched and it is already a 4th disappointment... It's well directed and acted, that's for sure, but I just don't feel anything for the story. I'm sure there is a deep symbolical/philosophical/bouddhistical/whatever meaning to it but even if someone will explain it to me in details, I'm not sure I would enjoy mo... read more

Juonen puolesta melko hitaasti etenevää Kim Ki-dukia, ja löytyyhän tästä muutenkin aika paljon muita ohjaajalle tyypillisiä elementtejä, kuten henkilöhahmot joilla asiat on suht persiillään sekä vähäinen dialogi. Kuitenkin olisin ehdottomasti kaivannut tähän jotain muutakin kuin nuo vankilatapaamiset, ja mukaan mahtuu välillä myös jumitusta ilman mitään erikoisempaa sisältöä. Ei tuskin ohjaajan parhaimmistoa, mutta kyllähän tämän kerran ainakin katselee. "

“With Kim Ki-Duk, I keep trying and trying... It is already the 4th movie of his that I watched and it is already a 4th disappointment...
