Se kesäinen leikkiminen tässä elokuvassa on aivan mestarillista kamaa, ja Maj-Britt Nilsson on tässä ihihihihihii-tason ihanuus.
Kuitenkin jälleen kerran ei-kanonisoidussa Bergmanissa on se turhan peruskaavamainen rakenne, eli elokuva alkaa, kun päähenkilö saa tiedon rakkaansa kuolemasta, ja sitten muistellaan takautumien kautta heidän yhteistä aikaansa. Tämä alkaa nyt ärsyttää, koska en ole vähään aikaan katsonut elokuvia normaalitahdillani, ja kaikki, mitä kats"

Pätevää Bergmania jälleen kerran on mukava katsoa ja mukava mielessään jälkipuida sen tapahtumia ja käsittelemiä teemoja. Rakkaudestaan traagisesti vuosia sitten eroon joutunut Marie saa yllättäen postista rakkaansa päiväkirjan, joka aukaisee kaikki arvet uudestaan."

Only when she makes a trip to her summer house near the sea where she had spent time with Henrik was she able to accept the past. Bergman tells a quiet love story offering clear portraits of the individuals. This is not his best film however, but it is highly involving because of the sincerity of the actors. The scenic location helps tell the story even if its not that strong. There should have been more tenderness and strength in their relationship, I felt that they were only kids in love. And for a tragedy, it should present a killer reason that their love affair is the start and end of things.” read more
