"Nobody's perfect."

Billy Wilder became forever famous for his classics; Some Like It Hot is one of those memorable, timeless, unforgettable films that has lost very little of its original appeal. Wilder has crafted a risqué, gender-binding comedy rich in sexual innuendo, steamy seductions, and spoofs of gender stereotypes.

The very straightforward plot follows two ... read more

Being a movie from the late 50's, with it's screwball comedy centering on the now-over-used theme of cross dressing men, you'd think that Some Like It Hot would've gone cold by now.
And yet, in large part due to Billy Wilder's sharp-edged yet still slapstick script, it hasn't.
And let's not forget that adding fuel to fire, as always, is Marilyn Monroe. Even through modern eye... read more

"Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis witness a gang murder, and go on the lam disguised as women. Provocative black comedy/sex comedy loaded with sexual innuendo and satire. "

Best Movies (50 movies items)

"Hollywood's definitive comedy tells us a classic tale of two crossdressing fugitives, hiding from gangsters in an all-girl's band. While one is courted by a sexagenarian millionaire, the other falls for the ravishing vocalist. Even now, 50 years later, the movie is as good a laugh as any modern day flick. Jack Lemmon is brilliant, while Marilyn Monroe looks gorgeous (even in black and white). Golden Globes - Best Movie (Musical/Comedy), Best Actress (Monroe), Best Actor (Lemmon)"
