How does one review a movie such as this? Well, I'm going to try. It has been said that nobody can fully understand how horrible the Holocaust was, because we aren't experiencing it firsthand. In my personal opinion, Shoah is the closest we will ever get at understanding the horror of it. This film doesn't show any archival footage of the Holocaust or dramatizations of it, instead we just have int... read more

To be honest, with its running time of more than 9 hours, it was slightly daunting and I wonder if it is really watchable in one sitting. In my case, I split it in 5 bits and it worked fine this way. Anyway, coming back to the movie itself, it wasn't a great movie, it turned out to be one of the best movie... read more

Anyway, coming back to the movie itself, it wasn't a great movie, it turned out to be one of the best movies I have ever seen, no less than that. It is such a poweful and an important movie, I believe it should be a compulsory watch in school for all the teenagers. I mean, I have seen many "

" The Ups: One of the most important documentaries ever put on film as it documents how the past forever is with us even if it is now a distant historic echo where only the testimonies of the people who where there can give us. Luckily, someone therefor decided to preserve it all in one film. All interviews feel authentic and is extremely detailed. It's silence and tranquility give us time to reflect on what is said and respect the memory of the murdered. The Downs: Depressing and draining to s"
