The Secret in Their Eyes is a masterfully crafted film about some very big ideas, namely about the value of human life, how we measure that value, who determines that value, and how it is best fulfilled. Of course we are not beat over the head with this message, nor does the director make obvious statements regarding his position (because as I said, it's MASTERFULLY crafted) but when we find ourse... read more

After hearing here and there some pretty good things about this flick, I was really eager to check it out. And I wasn't disappointed. Indeed, it was a rather fascinating thriller. Somehow, it reminded me of 'Zodiac' in the way that the main character was obsessed with this cold case for 25 years. Hopeless Romantic (10 movies items)

"A beautifully directed Argentinean movie with great performances by Ricardo Darn and Soledad Villamil as the lead actors. I know , you never heard of them and neither had I before this movie. This is what Listal is about, right. Find it, watch it, you'll love it. Let me know, either way. At once a great love story and a murder mystery. One of the best "undiscovered" gems in my opinion."

“After hearing here and there some pretty good things about this flick, I was really eager to check it out. And I wasn't disappointed. Indeed, it was a rather fascinating thriller. Somehow, it reminded me of 'Zodiac' in the way that the main character was obsessed with this cold case for 25 years. At first, I wonder how they would manage to keep my attention since I (thought I) knew how it would end. Eventually, many unsuspected things happened and I was captivated until the end which was quite impressive as well.
