2012's Safe is a Jason Statham action vehicle in the truest sense, and in no way is that a bad thing. It delivers all the elements we've come to expect from The Stath's movies - including shootouts, fisticuffs, and cheesy one-liners - but what's surprising about Safe is how genuinely skilful it is. Mei, a young girl whose memory holds a priceless numerical code, finds herself pursued by the Triads, the Russian mob, and corrupt NYC cops. Coming to her aid is an ex-cage fighter whose life was destroyed by the gangsters on Mei's trail.
"Of course the hero never misses his shot and the bad guy always miss. It's an action flick so you know what you're going to get.
Good martial arts action sequences which Jason Straham is usually connected with. No surprises here. You get what you pay for."

"23.2.
A disappointingly routine outing from Statham. Nothing much to say really. Hand-to-hand action scenes are the best ones since Statham is an excellent karateka. Unfortunately the film involves way too much gun-fighting, which is all bland and boring."

Directed by Boaz Yakin
Positive Points : Jason Staham , Good action movie
Negative Point : a little bit similar as Mercury Rising
Mei: Why did you save me?
Luke Wright: I didn't save you. You saved me."
"Lionsgate fucked this from the minute they cut those horribly generic trailers. Then you sit down to watch it and realize that hmmm.. perhaps this isn't as cut and dry as sold. 'Safe' is the very definition of the throwback genre film, but without having to try hard. A lot of that credit is due to veteran screenwriter & director Boaz Yakin; who's probably best known for 'Remember the Titans'. However Yakin got his start and has always loved the action genre, but for one reason or another never g"
