A sackfull of unfunny black and asian stereotypes are strung out over not only 90 minutes, but an entire trilogy of films, which sees the embarassingly inept Jackie Chan make a fool of himself alongside the frustrating and obnoxious Chris Tucker.

You like Rap! You like noodles! How will they ever get along! *sigh*

Chris Tucker is the main annoyance in this film, I'd ... read more

Since I hadn't see this movie for quite some time, I thought I might as well give it a second chance. To be honest, I have to admit that it was slightly better than I remembered but it was still nothing really amazing and,  after all these years, I still wonder how this movie (and its sequel) became such box-office hits when they were released. Basically, the whole thing is a mix of the formula u... read more

A Complete Review of Brett Ratner's work (12 movies items)

" Cast : Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, Tom Wilkinson, Chris Penn What was it about? A loyal and dedicated Hong Kong inspector teams up with a reckless and loudmouthed LAPD detective to rescue the Chinese Consul's kidnapped daughter, while trying to arrest a dangerous crime lord along the way. My two cents: After all these years, I still wonder how this movie (and its sequel) became such box-office hits when they were released. Basically, the whole thing is a mix of the formula used in countless"

"30/3/17 Routine buddy cop comedy made more interesting by teaming martial arts superstar Jackie Chan with loud-mouth comic Chris Tucker. The tale, finding a kidnapped girl, has Chan as the fish-out-of-water, showing off his fighting skills while Tucker fires one-liners just as fast. Nothing particularly new but still entertaining thanks to the bizarre partnership."

" Sure, a flick with the standard "two cops from different worlds must unite" storyline with alot of the formula bits solidly put into place, but I ended up enjoying this movie alot more that I expected to. Can you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? Or more specifically, the words that are coming from my thoughts as I type 'em down on this here keyboard? "

An average movie

“Since I hadn't see this movie for quite some time, I thought I might as well give it a second chance. To be honest, I have to admit that it was slightly better than I remembered but it was still nothing really amazing and,  after all these years, I still wonder how this movie (and its sequel) became such box-office hits when they were released. Basically, the whole thing is a mix of the formula used in countless Jackie Chan Hong-Kong productions  with the traditional US buddy cop genre. Eventually, it was fairly entertaining as the stunts and fights by Jackie Chan were nice (however, if you have seen them once, you have seen them all in my opinion) and Chris Tucker was often pretty funny with his improvised  dialogues. Still,  there is no denying that the plot was really pedestrian and” read more
