Based on a true story of travelling vendor Manuel Blanco Romansanta, convicted of 13 vicious killings in the Galician hinterland of Spain in the mid 19th century. But Romasanta was not an ordinary man, this is the story of a werewolf, the monster feared by all.

I have to say though if you are expecting a real thriller/horror sort of movie you might just be disappointed. Keep in mind that this was about a man who thought he was a werewolf not an actual werewolf film (werewolves don't exist obviously) so probably more of a drama on the verge of thriller then horror.
