"Forget the machines. They want a product with a conscious. Something that knows what it feels like to be human. We gonna put a man inside a machine."

Now here's a familiar sight - a PG-13 remake of an ultraviolent Paul Verhoeven classic. First there was the critical and commercial failure of Len Wiseman's Total Retard back in 2012, and now we have 2014's RoboCop remake, which was s... read more

usually i'm not a fan of remakes but this new version of Robocop is not bad at all and even if the screenplay is much different then the original version overall it really works plus the actors are more talented, Gary Oldman is great as Dr Bennett, Micheal Keaton is good as Raymond Stellars, the beautiful Abbie Cornish, Aimee Garcia and Jennifer Ehle are perfect in their role and Samuel L.Jackson ... read more

Honestly, I didn’t think it was so bad actually. The point is that I went to see it with some rather low expectations and that’s probably why I didn’t think it was too underwhelming. First of all, I really enjoyed Joel Kinnaman. Indeed, I thought he had a great charisma and it was nice that they took some time to show him as a police officer before he becomes Robocop. Unfortunately, that’s... read more

"Many people are likely to completely dismiss or hate this remake of the Paul Verhoeven classic. Many people are going to disagree with me on this, but that close-mindedness is a bit foolish. This 2014 version of Robocop is how a remake should be done. It does keep the basic premise of the original, and sends it in a completely different direction with its own ideas. The original is certainly more humours, satirical and better, but this is a very different Robocop and it works rather well as it i"

"While it's far better than it could have been, José Padilha's RoboCop remake fails to offer a significant improvement over the original."

" Note: In 2014, Robocop was remade to the new generation with the latest technology and special effects. Despite grossing over 200 million worldwide, the movie got terrible reviews from critics and fans of the original. It been over a year since the remake came out and looks plans for a sequel are not going to happen anytime soon."

the bad points... less bloody scenes, less funny scenes plus the bad guys are not charismatic like the one in the original version and the screenplay is focusing too much on the main character” read more

RoboCop review

“"Alex, we need to work together here. Because I'm the only one with the technology to keep you alive."

"Dead or alive, you're coming with me."

It's been a very long time since i last saw the original Robocop, so i wanted to watch that again before i checked out this remake, but i had some other friends that wanted to watch this today so i joined them. From what i remember the original Robocop was a very brutal action movie. There are scenes in that movie that could fit right in to the worst of horror movies, so why did they decide to go with a PG-13 rating for the remake? That made no sense. Just that let's you know this was purely made to create a new franchise the producers could cash in on, and not because of quality. This movie has the same problems as another PG-13” read more

“There's some really excellent entertaining moments that kept me to continue seeing it, but it falls short from its lack of commitment to perfect its shots, script, specific character roles that lack depth, and pacing. Not to mention, I am disgusted by the message it portrayed in the ending.” read more

First of all, I really enjoyed Joel Kinnaman. Indeed, I thought he had a great charisma and it was nice that they took some time to show him as a police officer before he becomes Robocop. Unfortunately, that’s probably the only thing they really got right. I mean, there were many good things, but probably too many of them actually. The whole thing tries to be a futuristic action flick, a familly drama, a political thriller and also a satire, that was just way too much to handled and all of those ideas were rather half-baked. Personally, I don’t think that the original movie directed by Paul Verhoeven” read more
