After ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ and ‘Snatch.’, Guy Ritchie suddenly became one of the most exciting directors at work. Unfortunately, his follow-up ‘Swept Away’ was a terrible disaster, hated by the critics and the audience alike, and it was a huge flop at the box-office. Personally, even though it was definitely a weak effort especially compared to his previous movies, I d... read more

He's rarely allowed to play in any casino because he is a winner. Jake has taken in so much money over the years, he is the only client of his accountant and older brother Billy. One night, Jake, Billy and their other brother Joe are invited to sit in on a private game, where Jake is expected to lose to Dorothy Macha, a crime boss and local casino owner who can't play for squat, but always wins because people are too scared to beat him. "4.3, Netflix
Guy Ritchien mukamasnokkela räpellys. Jason Stathamin kertojaääni miettii aina kussakin tilanteessa parasta vaihtoehtoa toimia, ja näin antaa katsojalle mahdollisuuden miettiä miten elokuva tulee jatkumaan. Samapa tuo, koska tarinassa ei ole syvyyttä vaan sitäkin enemmän koko kertojaäänen tarkoitus tuntuu olevan vain saada tähän jotain hienoa kikkailun tuntua. Epäonnistuu siinä komeasti.
Ritchieltä väsynyt yritys tehdä parin ensimmäisen elokuvan tyylistä tavaraa"

Gambler Jake Green enters into a game with potentially deadly consequences.
A few good actors for this type of film which are Ray Liotta, Jason Statham, and Mark Strong. The cartoonish scenes were a bit odd and came out of nowhere. The acting is pretty good and some scenes were unexpected. It has some great performances and interesting characters. Very cool twist ending! A pretty fun movie like most Guy Ritchie movies are. "

Unfortunately, his follow-up ‘Swept Away’ was a terrible disaster, hated by the critics and the audience alike, and it was a huge flop at the box-office. Personally, even though it was definitely a weak effort especially compared to his previous movies, I don’t think it was that bad but it was obviously a huge blow for his promising career. Nowadays, it seems that he has regained some amount of respect but his last features (‘RocknRolla’, ‘Sherlock Holmes’) were not as amazing as everyone seem to think in my opinion. Anyway, between his huge flop and his come-back, Guy Ritchie made this really obscure flick which was barely noticed when i” read more
