True Classic.*

"Reservoir Dogs" is truly a classic film not to be forgotten. The story has all of the ingredients of a gem. Seven complete strangers team up to rob a bank. Neither of them know each others names. They just refer to each other as colors. They think they have it all planned out when the news leaks out of the robbery. What coincides after that is epic. Will the many obstacles prevent them from pulli... read more

A Good Early Effort From Tarantino

"Reservoir Dogs," Quentin Tarantino's second film after the little known low-budgeter "My Best Friend's Birthday," is a good and polished early effort from a brilliant and controversial filmmaker.

Tarantino's best movie

It seems hard to believe but, for many many years, Quentin Tarantino was actually struggling to make his first feature. Eventually, after many failures, he came out with this and the rest was history. I remember when this movie came out, there was a huge buzz surrounding this flick and I think if I recall correctly it was released for a whole year in Paris in the movie theaters. Anyway, it had a h... read more

"Please, read this well written and valid article before saying "wtf, I don't see it at all!" to quote one of the users comments below: People’s reaction to Reservoir Dogs is a nice little study on heteronormativity. If Orange and White were a man/woman pairing, I’m pretty sure everyone would automatically assume there were romantic feelings there. Since it’s a male pairing on an “action” setting, it gets ignored. I also suggest you to read the original screenplay Trivia: althou"

“Reservoir Dogs is Quentin Tarantino's first movie, which showcased exactly what kind of a director he was. This movie turned into a cult classic, and if you watch it you will see why. Reservoir Dogs has Quentin's trademarks written all over the film, Violence Blood and a good story line. Yes to some the violence is a bit too much, but this is Quentin Tarantino, a person who does not shy away from extreme violence and blood, but he still writes a good story to conteract the violence. This moive is very good, if you don't like violence then don't watch this movie. Otherwise if your a big Quentin fan Like me, then his frist movie is not to be missed.” read more

A Good Early Effort From Tarantino

“"Reservoir Dogs," Quentin Tarantino's second film after the little known low-budgeter "My Best Friend's Birthday," is a good and polished early effort from a brilliant and controversial filmmaker.

A lot of Tarantino's trademarks are present here- extreme violence, black humor, brilliant dialogue, and unflinching portrayal of racism- but a little more emotion is present than with Tarantino's other works, including a rather touching relationship between two of the main characters, Mr. White and Mr. Orange.

The color-coordinated characters, Mr. White (Harvey Keitel,) Mr. Blonde (MIchael Madsen,) Mr. Orange (Tim Roth,) Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi,) Mr. Blue (Edward Bunker,) and Mr. Brown (Director Tarantino)- a group of criminals who are cornered by the police during a diamond ” read more

"Re-watch - Dec. 1st/2nd Review by Akwaryo Figured if I'm going to revisit all of Tarantino's films I should start with his first, which I hadn't seen in several years. Once upon a time, however, I was so obsessed with this movie that I watched it repeatedly to the point where I had the dialogue memorized. And for the most part, I still have it memorized...but while watching the film I kept forgetting that fact due to my getting lost in this heist tale that never shows the heist. Which is a bri"

“It's been an unusually good year for the discovery of first-rate new American film directors: Barry Primus ("Mistress"), Nick Gomez ("Laws of Gravity"), Allison Anders ("Gas Food Lodging") and Carl Franklin ("One False Move"), among others. Now add to the list the name of Quentin Tarantino, the young writer and director of "Reservoir Dogs," a small, modestly budgeted crime movie of sometimes dazzling cinematic pyrotechnics and over-the- top dramatic energy. It may also be one of the most aggressively brutal movies since Sam Peckinpah's "Straw Dogs."

"Reservoir Dogs" is about a Los Angeles jewelry store robbery masterminded by a tough old mob figure named Joe Cabot (Lawrence Tierney). The principal characters are introduced in an extended precredit sequence in which the thieves ar” read more

"Mr. Blonde In one of the most coolest flicks ever made, played by one of the coolest actors ever, Mr. Blonde is the most sadistic and aggressive "dog" from the group. This disturbingly volatile character was mistakenly given an unusually large amount of elbow room to show-off his craziness. When the others leave him with the doomed cop, he turns on the radio, dances to it, slashes the cop's face several times with the razor and finally cuts off his ear, making a cruel joke along the way. 30 Movies That'll Never Be Remade (30 movies items)

"Why It’ll Never Be Remade: Every remotely snappy crime script released in the last twenty years has been forced to contend with inevitable and unfavourable comparisons to Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece. So when a completely unrelated film is hamstrung by a failure to measure up to Reservoir Dogs, what chance would an out-and-out remake stand? If They Have To Do It: Is there anyone cool enough to take on these roles? No. So why not turn it over to Judd Apatow and make a stoner comedy out of"
