“Although I have never actually seen RENT on stage before, it has long been one of my favourite musicals. I've had the soundtrack for almost a decade now, and can sing along with the whole thing. When they made the movie of the musical, I was ecstatic. It was fabulous that I was actually getting a chance to see the musical, in a way. The movie isn't everything I had hoped it would be - it had most of the original cast, which was a definite bonus, but they had cut out songs that I would have liked to see, and had changed the timeline of the play a little bit... but it was good for what it was. When I heard that RENT: Filmed Live on Broadway was going to be at one of the nearby theatres, I knew I had to go. And I have to say, coming away from it, that it was brilliant.
