I usually don't like Westerns but I enjoyed this one! It's not just another Western with a crazy guy wasting bullets, shooting at everything that moves. It has a well conceived history of revenge in the background and the characters are well developed.

"Red Hill" looks like a Western version of Assault on Precinct 13 but instead of a dozen men attacking a police station, there's a single man attacking a town taking his revenge on a dozen men.
There aren't many slow moments in "Red Hill", but even during those moments, there's anything might happen or simply adding more info to the storyline. One thing that I like to see in every movie (and was present in this one), is the bad guy is actually capable of missing ” read more

Odotuksiini Red Hill ei aivan vastannut, mutta on se silti hyvä leffa. Visuaalinen ilme on mitä mainioin. Eikä sen nihilistinen tunnelma päästä katsojaansa helpolla. Näytteleminen on sujuvaa, joka tukee tuota visuaalista puolta hyvin. Moderniksi länkkäriksi tämä sisältää hyvin paljon viittauksia ja tribuutteja vanhoille klassikoille. Visuaalisesti näyttävä, mutta sisällöltään ontohko elokuva. Tarinassa on yritystä, mutta henkilöhahmoihin ja heidän motiiveihinsa pääsee aivan liian myöhään käsiksi, eikä silloinkaan kunnolla. Roolisuoritukset ovat osittain keskinkertaisia, mutta "pahis" vetää hyvällä asenteella loppuun asti. Muutenkin koruton meininki on suurena osana viihdyttämässä.
